SQ3R West Africa

Nigeria has Africa's largest population. One ethnic group tried to break away from the main country. Nigeria is not a democratic country after years of military ruling. Oil is 95 percent of the country's export earnings. Causes for Nigerians being poor: high birthrate, cant produce enough food and history of bad government. Liberia is Africa's oldest republic. They export ruby and iron ore.

Can You Trust Julius Lester???

To me it doesn't really matter. Because even if he made up all the stories he would have still made his point about slaves. It's not like you can go ask these slaves, "Did Julius Lester really interview you???". Not only are they dead but they wouldn't even know what your talking about...! But to everyone in the class i think this book touched them deeply and it was like we felt the slaves pain not only because they were beaten up but people thought that just because they werent christen they were less human.

5 Themes of Geography

http://www.traveljournals.net/pictures/l/4/48593-anjuna-market-benaulim-india.jpg

This is a picture of an Indian Market.
The Movement is how the jewelry got there, maybe through train or bicycle. Region is India. Human Environmental is the houses in the far background and building the roofs to protect them from the hot Indian sun shine. Place is the musty, stale smell in the air of India, the wide range of race. The colors of the jewelry.

Violance Leads to More Violance

I disagree with this quote because when Brutus had an issue with Caesar and ended up killing him (Act 3), Caesar was dead. So, no one left to fight with, so the problem was solved.

When two countries are in war and one country kills everyone in the other country there is no one else to fight with so that war is finished. Its not like another totally different country is going to come in and fight the country that won.
