Case Studies in Imperialism

Motivations:
Resources, land and the power of who go's through the Sues Canal was some of the gold. The glory was land and power. There were no gods because religion was not an issue in this situation.

Methods:
The methods that the British used was to use the Sues Canal as a way of taking over Egypt and other countries. Another method was states frighting and war. A British company signed an agreement with the Persian rulers to develop oil fields.

Changes:
The Persians rebelled against their ruler - who was corrupt- and the growing influence of the Europeans. In Persia, Russians and the British competed for control of local power. Britain controlled Egypt after they had money troubles and could not complete the Sues Canal.
